CCHRC worked with the Association of Village Council Presidents, Inc. to design student housing units using the
integrated truss technology - where the roof, walls, and floor are combined into single pieces that are laid out like the
ribs of a whale. The trusses can be tipped up in a day, allowing crews to get out of the elements quickly and finish
working inside a heated space. Rapid assembly saves precious time in a short building season and
reduces labor costs, freeing up more resources for housing.
